180,000 worth of drugs, property seized

A drug warrant has resulted in the seizure of some $180,000 worth of drugs and property from a Joe Rich residence.
Kelowna RCMP executed the warrant on a rural property in the Joe Rich area on Wednesday afternoon.
Sergeant Ann Morrison says police have had an ongoing drug investigation at a residential property at the 8400 block of Peregrine Road since the fall of 2009.
“The search of the out building (shop) on the property produced over 300 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, two kilograms of marijuana bud packaged for distribution, several dirt bikes, ATVs and other property,” says Morrison.
She says the seized items are as follows:
•Three dirt bikes (1991 Honda, 2007 Kawasaki, 2006 Suzuki) all stolen from Alberta in 2007.
•Two ATVs (2007 Polaris and Bombardier)
•Brand new home air conditioner
•New home furnace
“Police also seized one other ATV Gator and lawn tools also believed to be stolen.”
Morrison says three adult men (23-49 years old) were arrested at the property.
“They were later released from custody to appear in Court on July 10 to face charges of production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of stolen property.”
They are Kelowna residents and were living at the property. One of the men is the property owner.
One of the men has related criminal record.
