Currently my stinky slinky is kept in the back bumper of by TT, until now.

I keep my TT in an RV storage facility and the other day, I went to get it and the end cap of the bumper is missing. Now, I empty the tanks at the storage facility and the cap was there when I parked it...so I'm sure someone "borrowed it"

I can either replace the cap (simple enough) or I can come up with something different to avoid this problem in the future.

Any ideas, mods etc?

could just drill a hole from the top to the bottom, if there isn't one there already, and drop a pin through the holes, cotter pin or hair pin at the bottom keeps it in.

They do get old and shrink .... end up falling off. Crappy Tire sells them by the set. I always carry a spare anyways. Drill a hole with a pin is a good idea.

There's nothing but friction holding my slinky in the bumper. 8 years and never lost one. The last one developed some holes from rubbing.

If it fits in there tight enough you may not need one. Otherwise I like the dropping a bolt through a drilled hole idea.

I went to build one of these myself, but by the time I added it up......just bought the premanfucured unit. Hard mounted it to the bumper and drilled holes for the carabiners (padlock if needed). Keep the "good" hose in that one and still have a cheapy in the bumper.

Can also hide the spare bottle of scotch in there if needed.

I attach a small chain to the inside of the cap and bumper. The caps do fall off on their own sometimes.

Can't remember the price exactly. There are a few lengths and prices. Any RV shop can order for you or they can be found on line.

At bottom of page:
