Doing a bit of research, and looking for some help. I am considering starting a small business to teach First Aid/CPR.

A little about me: Full time Firefighter/EMT and I have spent almost 3 years in a classroom teaching the firefighting, medical and technical rescue programs. I work part time teaching safety courses for a small safety company, and spend some time doing special events medical standby.

I know quite a few people here have their own businesses, and Im sure lots of people here have to have First Aid certification for work.

So my questions are:

1. Do you have First Aid/CPR, and who did you take the course from?

2. Have you recently looked into a first aid course/recertification?

3. Has anyone applied for an Aboriginal Business Grant?

Thanks

This is real easy...Red Cross will certify you as a trainer. Then you just have to order and buy your books for the courses. 2 day for new people and 1 day course for re-cert if you havent expired.

For oilfield guys, and I beleive everyone else, you have to re-cert every 3 years. EVERYONE in the oilfield has to have, and all have to re-cert.

Answers:
1: yes, local girl here with who is a Red Cross Trainer
2: Yes, just did my re-cert
3: Sorry cant help you there
