So it's my favorite time of the year again....demo derby season! My family has been involved in derbys since the early 70s and it has been passed down the lines through the years, with this years first derby in Edson on Sept 5th and 6th, Edson is a very important event to me and my family as I build cars in memory of a family friend who was a staple in the community and because profits are donated to the stollery hospital in Edmonton, most of us have known someone that has had to deal with the stollery at some point with a child, so what I'm looking for is "sponsorship" for this years event. What I do is any company/person/group that wants to sponsor money will be donated directly to the stollery on race day in your name, what you get is advertising on my car and appreciation from some very greatful people. The Edson competitors are one of a kind and an amazing group of guys/girls most of our winnings for the heats are donated back and put in the stollery total plus every year someone builds and donates a 4cyl car to a raffle off so that an audience member can buy tickets and hopefully win the car to compete obviously with all profits goin to the hospital..all in all its a great 2 days of 4cyl, 8cyl, truck derbys, mud bogs and tuff trucks and helps a great cause. Plus if you wanna attend or compete I'd be happy to help you get involved....so now that I've rambled on haha I'd love to get the snow and mud community involved so if your intrested in any kind of sponsorship ie money for the stollery hospital, chev small block parts, time ect please let me know I'd be happy to get your name/names on my car! Thanks for the long read guys

what are you thinking for sponsorship fees
Not looking for any particular amount as far as donations go, every bit helps for a great cause close to home and I've got alot of car to put names on haha $20 or $500 it all helps the same, and just to clarify I am not takin personal gains from your donations this is the only derby I run where everything I raise goes to the charity, if your lookin to donate parts ie spare used starters/distributors/coils/fuel pumps ect for a small block chev that is definatly appreciated too

I was thinking a sponsorship for the Edson event with a cash donation in return for advertising our stickers on the car. Our company does a lot of work in that area and we try to donate something to all of the towns that support us.

We sponsored our rodeo banner to three bull riding events in Central Ab last year and two so far this year. So far we haven't done anything for Edson and would like to show our name there, so I would be willing to give it a try being as the moneys are donated to the Stollery.

We also give locally to foundations that help local communities where the need exists and the needy get the help they need.

My personal favourite place to donate is the Elks of Canada which is all about helping kids! I am a proud lodge member at Leslieville #351. I encourage all SnMers to join a similar club to make a difference volunteering in their own communities, a lot of these clubs are dying out and need new blood to keep it fresh and fun. Its a great way to meet your neighbours and make new friends who share the same passion for helping people.

I will contact you by PM or text to discuss buckie...

Sounds great holio! I'm a firm believer in helping those in need the stollery has been a big part of my family in the past and my neice wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for them so I always jump at the opportunity to help them if I can, so I'd be happy to show your support on my car this year, it's not a huge crowd usually 2000ish over the weekend but it's the blue collar down to earth hard working folks that you and I work with everyday you'd be amazed the recognition your name gets and word of mouth goes a long way in a small town so to show you support the average guy means the world to alot of these folks, let me know what you wanna work out, big thanks!

And thanks to Buckies LED Sales out of sylvan lake for their donation of $200 (I know the owner )

Would love to hit the $1000 donation mark this year we are half way there so I think it's definatly it's doable... don't hesitate to get ahold of me if you are intrested or need some more information...anyone can donate businesses, public, families doesn't matter!

It's just the 6yrs old in us all smashing our Tonka trucks together makin crash noises with our mouths I just get to do it in real life
