I was supervising the Grade 2's today at the Christian School where my daughters attend school when horror struck:

Amaryis' word was "COUNT". With great confidence she steps out and submits "Count. C-U-N-T. CU...". At this point realization dawns and she clasps two hands over her horror-stricken mouth. The whole school is talking about it.

It was like a train wreck- I saw it happening in slow motion but I just couldn't stop it in time.

And try not to laugh?!? Ooops

I should probably clarify that Amaryis is not my daughter, so YouTube and wedding day humiliation is not in the cards. If it was my kids tho... ;)

I just work in the various classes teaching and supervising where needed a few days a week. I'm already a bit controversial in the Christian School bcz I work shift work at the hospital alot on weekends and miss church. If I am home, my church is usually the mountains... The tattoos aren't a great hit either with the board members, but I'm educated and qualified and willing to be flexible.

I was loathe to tell this particular parent what happened bcz I knew she would freak but Amaryis was so sad it required an explanation... Funny at first but not funny when explained to the prude Librarian parent... *sigh*

you mention tatoos dont sit well with board members, if they ever give you $**t about them just tell them "what does it matter the appearance of some one who beleives in god, that sets a bad example for the children" that would put a sock in their pias mouth.

Lord forgive me because i made a joke about some pinhead board members that believe in you and are so uptight the swallow a quarter and out comes two dimes the other end.

Amen brotha. I grew up as the daughter of a pastor and the object of much scrutiny by hypocritical church elders. It was crap.

I hope that my experience with the kids will teach them that being a Christian can still mean being and having fun.

If any of the whisperers would take the time to ask, my visible tattoos say "Hope" and "Faith" in Romanian in honor of the Romanian Medical Mission I do yearly that has captured my heart. Really rebellious hey? (I did wear short sleeves to my job interview so that they weren't hidden, but nobody asked or seemed to care...)
