So has anyone in here tried this lights on there big truck going to get a set for my big truck they look frigging bright just want some feedback on them there a little pricey at $1200 bucks but iam thinking there worth it

I have the exact set, they work great, not sure where your getting them from, I paid $490.00 each as a special order from a local truck dealer, another has a set on sale for $550.00 per light.

The biggest thing with them is getting them set properly, you have to have them a fair bit lower than halogens, the top of the light beam is very flat, you will find a sweet spot with the high and lows by lowering the light till the top of the highbeam light plane hits the road about 1/2 mile ahead of you.

The actual performance of the light is excellent, the low beam is as good as any HID I have been around, it is especially good in wet conditions, the white light really cuts the darkness you get when its raining. When it snows I found them to work well, the color of the light beam is very close to the color of the snow, so when your on low beam you hardly see the flakes.

I highly recommend them, probably the best aftermarket item I have added to my truck. If you really want a great and legal all around set up, add a pair of Sirius HID driving lights wired through the high beam, you cant beat the combination.

One last thing, Im not sure if you have looked at the lights in person, but there are 4 wires coming off the harness, not 3. The 4th wire is a seperate circuit for daytime running lights. The lights themselves dont work well on some trucks daytime running light circuits, they tend to strobe because the voltage output on some daytime running light circuits is to low.

Have you noticed any issues in ice fog with the lenses? Have heard from other drivers that they don't put out enough heat to clear off ice or frost on them. Someone mentioned they sell a heated lens kit as well?

I have had no problems with these particular lights, I have heard others complain about that problem with the 4 headlight system. I find the lights very good in the fog because there is no upper glare, the light it puts out is very flat, no glare in fog or snow. They kind of have a weird shape to the light, rather than an oval beam like a halogen, the beam is very rectangular with a flat top.

We have allot of freezing fog in the area and I have had the lens freeze over, but it never affected the light, I didnt know it was iced over till I stopped and did a walk around. In my truck the light fits in a housing with about a centimeter air space around them, guys who have complained about them getting covered over with snow had Western Stars where the light fits in a tight cover and has a ledge underneath where stuff can build up.

I've also used these lights. Once you have , you'll never go back. Just wrapping your head around the price tag is the hard part. You will have to modify your headlight bucket on the KW. The lights are to deep for the stock bucket. As far as Peterbilt or Western Star they pop right with the 4 lamp system. They do pack with snow and have to be cleaned because there is absolutley no heat broadcasting from the light. The newer ones have a hardened lense which is nice but agin...pricey. They are a hot commodity around here

How much for a complete 4 light set ?

I've driven trucks with led lights but I didn't think they were that expensive. Are these Speaker lights high end LED or just normal ? I could only justify the prices mentioned if they were unbreakable and very scratch resistant.

Around here the 4 headlamp system goes for $270.00 per light for a total of $1080.00. The lens is an "unbreakable" polycarbonite or some darn thing that sounds like that. The Speaker lights are a very high end LED, not a made in china product.

The 1st trip I made thru the local scales I was pulled in and checked out. They had seen the 4 lamp system allot, but had not seen the 5x7 2 lamp system. They have all their stamps right in the middle so it was easy to prove the legality of them.

Then I thought about it, spending a grand on a good 2 way radio, no problem, spending a grand for a service with a couple of small repairs, no big deal. Why was I worried about the price of the lights? Is there a better safety item than a good pair of legal headlights? I bought them, put them in, and wondered why I waited? Best grand I have spend on my truck.

Your getting a hell of a deal where ever your buying these lights. They go for just under $400 a piece here. No matter who is selling. Almost $1600 for four. My issue is with mark up, not the lights.

I'll send you a pm, local dealer, his name and number, he will be glad to ship them out. $270.00 per light for the 4 light system, he says he can freight prepaid and rebill the freight to the customer, shouldnt cost more than $30.00 to ship to Alberta for the whole package.

it looks like a good light, and about half the price of the JW Speaker lights. If I hadnt already invested in the JW's I would have given these a try. Right now International Truck dealerships have an introductory offer of $236.69 each, less than half the price of over $500.00 for the JW's.
