Highschool is a stretch but helping fine young women through college is never wrong......I'm sure lots of us have helped pay tuition.....haha

That was funny...until I remembered I have daughters. But lets face it, some people just need to start a vocational path and save for retirement before the assets go south. Academia is not for everyone! (PS-my kids have RESPS, brains, and well-imbued fear of my wrath to set them on their life's journey!)

No disrespect meant. I think its important to remember that strippers aren't back room prostitutes. It is perhaps a sad truth that some women have to do this to afford an education. I won't play innocent in saying I haven't enjoyed that from time to time(stripping, not prostitution). For the majority of young women I don't think this would be a requirement to afford post secondary education. But for those who have to I applaud there commitment.

Funny story about this. A buddy of mine was at a strip club a couple years back, everything was going good until the next girl came out on stage. Turns out she was in one of his UofA classes, gotta pay tuition somehow I guess. Apparently it was a little awkward the following monday in class lmao.

Thing is with strippers is that most of them do it because it pays amazingly well (provided the dance moves and looks are there) and they have bills or habits to pay for. There are some that actually enjoy it but I think they're few and far between.

I personally find it appawling if they'd be openly permitted to target high school students. While I don't find the act of recruiting young girls for the act of stripping to be overly offensive, I feel conversely about the environment in which the stripping usually takes place. Realistically, we can expect those girls to be constantly surrounded by drugs and organized crime in addition to being not so gently coersed into sexual favors from time to time. If I had kids, I think I'd likely be a little less than reasonable if these yahoos were recuiting in my kids' school. ...hopefully not getting myself arrested in the process.

Student loans and part time jobs come to mind as personal choices before stripping. Recruiting in high schools, well if parents find out a few will be waiting outside for the recruiter for a back alley conversation. Stripping as a necessity to get through school of any kind???, there are other jobs.
Mine fortunatly had RESPs started at birth so hopefully not even the student loan is needed. Will likly do as my friend did if required. 85% average = 85% of loan paid by pops. Incentive program to get good grades.

Looks like a scare tactic on their part. Take our foreign girls away and we will come looking for your local girls. Trying to stir the pot and get locals excited.
Maybe there is a reason they need foreign girls, maybe ours aren't interested?
