So I've sold my M sled and now it's time for me to go shopping!

I'm thinking Polaris Pro 163, either slightly used 12 or 13.
I understand there is a pretty big difference in the feel between the 12 and 13? Is that so?
Maybe a guy should just spend the extra couple grand and go new 14?
Sounds like most of the "internet issues" with the 13 have been addressed?

Any thoughts?

The 13 has some nice upgrades over the 12 (quick drive, carbon fibre over structure, simplified wiring, better boards). Having owned both a 12 and 13 I would choose a 13 as it feels much lighter. That said seeing what low mile 13 is bringing I would shell the extra bucks and start new. Whichever way you go the Pro will be a nice step up from what you had.

I have a 13 pro 163", My buddy has a 11 pro 155. 13 feels more responsive and lighter in stock form according to him. I went from a m-series to the pro and have liked the switch. If you get a 13, put the $ on an updated QD belt. hope this helps, good luck!

M series and the pros seem like a pretty easy transition. The pro chassis felt like a updated m series chassis.

I hate to say it but there is a good deal on a 10 Dragon in the Hat Kijiji you should buy. Probably have a couple grand in your pocket and a decent sled to ride for the season, then snow check a 15. I think both Poo and Doo will be coming out with new machines this spring. 2010 Polaris Dragon 800 155 for Sale! Low KM's! - Medicine Hat Snowmobiles For Sale - Kijiji Medicine Hat Canada.

As for your questions I like my 13 Pro but have not spent much time on the older models. There is no difference from 13 to 14 so if you can find a good deal on a 13 I would go that route.

Well, after an extended Kijiji session and a few messages from here, I'm real close to buying a Pro!!
Have a couple to look at and of course new is still an option.
I will report back with lots of questions on how to set up a Pro for maximum fun!!!

There was a great suggestion above for a polaris dragon! I think you should consider that before you get crazy and buy a pro! The polaris dragon was one of the most reliable mountain sleds! Lol!

Internet issues? Don't kid youself Polaris has some quality issues... But if you're buying one I'd ensure you got the 13+ as there was some updates to the engine, update crank, simpler wiring, etc... carry an extra QD belt & changer. Last I saw there was some cheap brand new 2013 carry overs...

If it was my money I'd be buying a doo over a poo though. I just sold my Pro RMK, was always in the shop and felt like my motor was a ticking time bomp... The handling was awesome though!!! Good luck!

I guess I have to spell it out a little better. I would have kept the M for another year. The Dragon is a 2010 800 with 600KM on it and one could probably buy it for 6500 or less to have a decent priced and decent sled to ride for another year. SkiDoo and Polaris are both speculated to be coming out with something big this spring. I would have rode the M for another season and looked at the 15's before pulling the trigger. Just saying.

I know where there is a '13 Pro, 155 with 300 miles and a hell of a nice balance of warranty for $11k. Ph. 780-349-5277 and ask for Jame

Thanks to a fellow member here, I just came home with a great 13 Pro!
I'm sure it will take the place of my old M sled just fine....,
And just in case, there is still a years warranty left and a new QD belt ready to be stashed away.
Thanks Rick

Nice! Lots of good dudes here. That has to be one of the best looking Pros Polaris made. The storm trooper look is bad ass. Enjoy!
