it was last week sautrday night, my truck was reading -42c iv never seen it happen b4 it also was in the back of buddys truck so factor in the windchill not sure if that counts or not it was in bigbrutes quad box when we took it out it hurt the hand it was so cold.

Wow... -40*c = -40*f ...... I remember seeing that up in fort mac back in the '70's almost every winter...... We used to spit and it would freeze before it hit the ground(especially if there was a wind chill). For gibs to freeze it would have to be at least -40* and probably a windchill as well..... That would be sweet nectar to the taste buds, or a little piece of heaven....................... Hmmmmmm crown or gibs.......

Don't drink it when its that cold, remember that your throat is made up of allot of moisture, it will freeze shut! Has anyone been able to buy Gibbsons RARE. I'm down to my last bottle and can't find it anywhere in RD.

Gibsons Rare availbale in Bonnyville don't know why you can't find it in Red Deer? hope its not discontinued and Bonnyville is the last place on earth you can buy it. Did I say Bonnyville ? I meant Medicine Hat I better get that last bottle before it's too late.

No seriously for whiskey to freeze it has to get pretty damn cold. I wouldn't want to drink it when its that cold. Being a connoisseur of fine whiskeys, I prefer mine straight up with 2 cubes of ice thankyou

I Think I've probably spilt more whiskey than most have drank but I've never seen it freeze before Are you sure the kids aren't dippin into dads stash :d If Gibbs freezes at -42 I'm sure Good ol' R&R would be stiff at -30.

Good stuff. Got myself a bottle for Christmas and still have a bit left. I was in Harley's Liqour Store in Camrose last week and they had a few bottles of the Rare left. I should have bought them all!

i always get it in provost when i go threw there, were did u find it in red deer
