I'm looking into some snowblowers, I really like the Honda we have them at work, they throw snow the best imo but are pricy due to the drive system almost 2000 more for a 24" with electric start and controls.

What's everyone thoughts? Go with the cheaper friction disk blower or bite the bullet and go Honda? I don't think I can go another winter just shovelling anymore, driveway and sidewalk are a chore if I don't stay on top of it.

Thx

Honda is definitely the way to go. Are you looking for a larger 2/3 stage, or just a smaller single stage "thrower"? If you want a smaller single stage, I have a used 2 times Honda 22" electric start that I'd let go for a pretty decent price.

Thank you so much, but I was thinking about a bigger machine. Two stage 26/28".

Do yourself a favour and just buy the Honda. I've had my Honda 622 for years, and every single year it fires up first pull. Im pretty sure it was the smallest tracked one that they sold, but makes the difference. The bloody thing can throw snow like 15 feet in the air like nothing. (According to honda its 46ft lol)

Yah our older 928's at work have the same issue. Aggressive auger on these bigger units, this one has shear pin overload protection not sure if it helps but we'll giver a good go at it!!

Good choice. You'll never regret buying quality. I've Never thrown a tool across the shop because it was GOOD quality.

Same blower as I have! You will like it. A few of my neighbors have the canatdian tire or home depot specials and they all cannot believe how much better my Honda throws the snow. Last weeks heavy wet snow theirs would not even move it! The Honda throw slurpee snow all over the place! Good choice and I have only broke 2 shear pins with rocks.

I have a simplicity 24" pro model, has the electric chute direction control. The 10.5 hp Briggs will only start with the electric 120 volt that's the only thing I don't like about it.
