CPR Mainline Between Revelstoke and Golden

Wow! Reminds me of some pictures my dad had from the olden days on the prairies. Just see the tops of the telephone poles!

Lots of exciting things happen workin' the rails.....

there were spots along the transcanada that the power poles were damn near consumed by the water mind you only ten feet above the ground to start with

was told these were the ones from the big avy right by the tunnels this year?? Also had some of the big slides in the roger's pass that buried the hiway for a few days.......

and if we told you that the sky was falling would you believe that too, Chicken Little......?

A quick search showed several posts of those pics from Jan 09, one stated the date 12. 28. 2008.
