not from GP,, but did run a few north of Ft Nelson at gas plant I operated, we got snowed in in 08 and had to fire up these old Bombadiers to clear the yard and airstrip.they were abandened a few yrs earlier by some company that used to have the contract for the ice roads. Batterys were dead.took out of shop we had for spares for our trucks.
I seen a few up that way when I was there in Dec. working for devon past the keypile camp. I seen alot of them this year freezing down leases and ice roads and plowing snow. I was just wondering what they were like to operate? what are the controls like? I have run alot of heavy equipment but never a snow cat. just wondering what the work was like and if there was a demand for operators? also if they are much like a dozer to control?
