Well it’s not pretty but I got the crack all welded up and the rail straight again...back to riding. Still need to build a brace but this should work for the weekend. Cast magnesium is a little tricky to weld

Held like a rock all day!! Had the luxury of breaking trail into turtle today. Smashed it as hard as I could over the 3ft whoops on the way back down she’s solid

That’s a strange one! I had it happen once before but it was from buckling the stock suspension brackets. I would have a real good look at your suspension brackets and check for any damage.

So this happened yesterday! LOL I heard a weird jingle noise a couple times yesterday and thought my clutch was going to explode. I stopped a few times and inspected the clutch and everything was good. Very very intermittent faint noise and couldn’t replicate it.

I took today off to go over everything and see if I could pinpoint the weird jingle noise. I was having a hard think about the noise this afternoon as I could swear I have heard this random jingle before. FINALLY it dawned on me to check the two locking nuts on the driveshaft! I looked down at the threads and sure as **** there was nothing holding the brake rotor on. Oh great I thought to myself here we go again...I had this happen on my 18’ and the two locking collars went through both clutches and I had to replace both the primary and secondary due to indents on the clutch faces.

Thankfully I fished these two bad boys out of the bottom of my brake rotor guard. They were just sitting flat in the bottom and hadn’t found there way out into my clutches and engine bay yet. I got lucky and know better that these little gems like to vibrate loose. What a ****ty design they should have a hole drilled into the end of the driveshaft with a little cotter pin or something to keep them from vibrating loose.

Cat tool is $200... I took the nut to a tool shop and got one for $76. Pain in the butt to tighten, 100ft/lbs and I used red loctite.

My sled makes a little jingle sound at idle, unsure what it is, going to have to check my starter cup, and those nuts as well, I put on a zrp lightweight brake disk and I cranked the nuts on to spec but I’ve seen weirder things happen.

Red loctite on the outboard nut?

Yes, the two driveshaft jam nuts I used red loctite on them, I’ve heard too many stories of the jam nuts coming loose, red loctite to help keep it secure. Red loctite isn’t quite as permanent it seems these days.
