Barry from dons speed parts had his m8 turbo and trailer stolen from tr sandman thursady night. Security walked by and ten minuites later he did another lap and trailer was gone. He called the cops they found the trailer west at the valley gap and no sled. Even cut l the locks to unhook fromthe truck. Lock your $hit and park safe. Bastards r fast at it already this yr

$500 for Gps tracking unit with the first year of monitoring, you can set it up so if it senses movement out side of a predetermined time it will text you! I played with mine last night , really easy to use and a small compact unit. Call Travis 403-318-1404 he is the distributor for Alberta and will ship anywhere, if these crack heads steal a sled with one of these units they will get caught!!!!!!!

That is an excellent idea. I think I will be investing in one of these for a couple of my toys. Might even be able to get lower insurance rates like having an alarm for my house. And just great to catch some of these scum bags.

That sucks about this common occurrence now.Are these guys just targeting Ford trucks or what?

My buddies went missing at homedepo in calgary this year.He had his trailer but no bobcat on the back.He ran in to get 4 2x4s for a job then came right out. Said five min tops he was in there for.As he was walking towards his truck the thief fingered him out the window and drove off. FukKers:rant:

Man it really making me think twice about going on overnight sled trips.

Hope they find this stuff and who the hell is doing it.

I like the bait trailer idea, it's probably the same fawks doing this every time out there. I think when I go back I'll be sleeping on my sled.

Give Telus a call and see what there GPS tracking is worth.

It will work on vehicles when they are started but not on a sled if it is not running.

Maybe if we but GPS as a group as S and M members we can get a smokin deal.

We are looking into Telus for our fleet of trucks.

I do not understand why there has been no bait vehicles/trailers set out?

They do it all the time for vehicles.

Freakin legal system lets the scumbags off with a slap on the wrist and the owner goes to jail for assault. No wonder things are getting worse. Need to put some of the judges and liberal bleeding hearts in jail for a while.

Would this work though? Doesnt the Spot need to be in the open to see satellites?

Easy to test it though. Just need someone to turn theirs on and see if it tracks on the way to a destination.

This all happened in 10 mins sothe response waz quick. I guess a cop headed to Revi from sicamouse and never passed one vehicle. So the trailer was dropped at valley gap and no vehicle was seen tells me it's a local who did it And never had to go all the west to sicamous. Eitherway it's ballsy and not fair to those of us who work hard to have nice things. Not sure what color it was but it's an 2010 m8 turbo. Sure it's gone for good cause they never seem to find these sleds

Ye they don't have any problems setting up to catch us riding on logging roads and giving sledders tickets for that and anything else, but don't ever find stolen strailers and sleds. HMMMMMMM
