So the annual sneak peek is coming up and once again, Arctic Cat will not be in attendance. I will not get into how big of a joke that is but my understanding was that all the dealers will have all the models on their floor to view but my local dealer (and I use that term lightly because the place is an embarrassment) told me they will not have any to show off. Right now they only have and early build ZR. What gives?

I fail to see how your "local" dealer not wanting to order any units to have on display reflects on Arctic Cat?
Arctic Cat decided a couple of years ago that they get better coverage when they put sleds at the dealerships vs participating in the annual sneak peaks. It gives access to more people seeing the product on their own timeline vs driving to one specific location on one specific day. Not a bad thing.....

I think what Cat does instead is pretty cool actually... They use the budget towards those big "4" shows.. which is STUPID expensive... and Put it towards getting sleds on the floor and in the hands of consumers. As stated.... Thats your local dealer's choice for not taking advantage of the tools their manufacturer is giving them.

Well assuming you still live in Saskatchewan the ZR makes sense. Can you honestly imagine putting new sleds in every dealer for a weekend to show them off. I think you should sit down with your dealer one day and ask him or her how much they actually make off the purchase of one sled. You will be surprised.

Cheers

I keep asking but Sylvester's in Battleford still has no 2018s. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish.

I've heard from some dealers that the amount of holdover stock from previous years is making them wary to put in an early order for new machines.

plus, two years of no snow has really hurt the bottom line of dealers who depend on non-mountain sled sales....

I spoke to a dealer the other day and he said if it wasn't for boats and trailers, they may have not survived

poor economy factors in big time also.....I think some dealers are really hurtin......sad, really.

Plus the manufactures yard saleing new sleds at the end of season destroys the used market for them, why pay 8 for used when new is 10.

These dealers have had it too easy for too long. Sales must have been too easy when the economy was good.

I've been in some of these dealers plenty of times, they have one or two people sitting at a reception desk, that must be too busy or too good to even greet you, or even acknowledge your existence. Try to purchase a small accessory and they send you to a counter in the back to stand in a line up to pay the parts guy.

Don't make it difficult for me to pay! The purchase goes back on the closest shelf and I walk out!

And it's always a big deal when looking to exchange a product fails due to poor quality or workmanship. Get treated like its your fault the product was a pos!

Or the next service appointment is a 2 week wait! What a joke!
