Hey! I just bought a sled deck because i needed away to bring my snowmobile around. Its so easy use and to install, it only took 20 min. The way this single sled deck is made i didnt even have to drill holes into my truck. I would recommended this sled deck if you are looking for one.

I built a similar ne last weekend, except mine looks nicer lol. I used 2x6 for the frame on the bed, built it with 4 2x6, 1 each side and 2 in the middle. I also hinged mine so when the sled is not in the truck I can pull out the ramps, close up the deck and close my tailgate. The ramps are 2x4 and there are 2 of them approximately 8 feet by 24 inches. They fit nicely under the bed I built. To attach I used 8" eye bolts and a nut holds ramp in place loading and unloading, also when ramps are slid in it gets eyebolted so they go no where. I havent installed it yet but am using turnbuckles to hold the deck in place in the box. I got the info from a guy on Dootalk and just modified it for me. I never did put anything for traction or keeping skis inline. I will post pics this weekend maybe if it warms up (-38 Saturday morning yikes)

when he was "just beatin down the srews on the back with a hammer" he probably knocked them back through, or they fell out. we all know what happens when u screw things to osb and expect it to last..... it just doesnt

Check out this site: singletoycarrier.ca. I was looking for a single sled carrier and came accross this. I bought it and it works great. No holes to drill, just set it in the box.

I had one that was similar I had to screw 2x2 on it for traction and plastic for ski runners cause when the carbides hit the wood you just spun out

I have thought about it, but if I get a 20 foot run I let momentum do the rest. Of course skis right on the outside edge so you need to be bang on lined up...

Not sure what it weights it is quite heavy i know that. I went with steel because i bought the frame off some guy and then fixed it up. works awesome.
