Was in Sicamous for the weekend and we rode Blue Lake and Hunter's Ridge and the backside of Owl'shead. We had bluebird skies. Definitely could use some fresh snow up there, but there is lots of untracked in the trees and farther back in the meadows- you just gotta find it.

The avy risk is quite high- I dug an avy pit in Blue Lake and found a really definite ice layer about 10" down. I was actually able to pull out a horizontal section of intact ice; that is how unstable the snow above it is!! Use common sense and follow the rules. Play safe and you will have some fun!

Are there any digital maps available for the Sicamous riding areas? We're planning on riding there this wekend and was hoping to look at some good maps to help make up our minds which areas.

Where would you recommend a couple of guys go riding that aren't necessarily looking for steep but need the deep. We usually spend a lot of time in the trees chasing pow. Liked Blue lake last year and have heard good things about Eagle pass.

I believe I saw somewhere that the Sicamous club is working on Trail Maps for next season.

Lets hope for some snow for the long weekend! Although it looks like this weekend will have the fresh stuff and not much in the forcast for next.

Take some chains or cables! this is the Owls head lot, could barely stand up. Road up was just as bad. Guys were in the ditch all the way up.

Rode eagles and blue lake last weekend. found lots of untracked, but somewhat setup snow. Avy risk was very low. nothing moving at all. cut a couple slopes down low and nothing was moving. there is a layer but seems to have bonded with the cooler weather.

We rode Blue on Sat. and found 10-12" in the trees. Came out on fumes on glass smooth trails!

this is great im here till the 14th, but we should for sure meet up fri & sat we are going to the dinner too PM us so we can get together.like he said you cant miss me im all pink going to get my hood wrap on tonight! i know im crazy hope to meet up with some of you. Blue lake was great the other day out 9yr old kids went with us every where.
