Shaved the cat today (The domestic house cat, get your mind out o the gutter bogger). Anyhow now a question. Has anyone ever done it before? We have two cats one long hair ( now shaved) the other is short haired now the short haired one wants to kill the other one. Before this they were best of friends. Has anyone every experienced this?

not with shaving a cat, but our dog....everytime he gets a haircut the cat flips out and doesn't recognize him for a few days

God you gotta be killing Bogger right now. However on the serious side why did you shave your, um, you know the "cat". Health reasons? Is it sick at all. Animals are real funny they will turn on a perceived weak critter just like that. Don't know why they just do.

He looks so impressed by his new looks, no wonder he is dead meat. I too have a long haired cat, always outside and now looks like a big mouse(pink skin) because he got all knotted up and he and I have been getting rid of all the knots, so he is bald along his sides and belly. Pretty sad really. Little dog still loves teasing him though.

He actually seems quite content right now and the other cat is leaving him alone. It's quite funny to watch him walk around the house.

I'M curious if the cat let you shave him or did it turn into EL-Diablo kitty.and he looks less impressed with the new look.

I don't know the temperment of many cats but I don't imagine getting shaved is something they would enjoy, the clippers would be loud and scary. But good on ya either way. I like the mane and tail fur that was left along with the fur on its lower legs. Looks like a grey lion.

Accually he just sat there and took it, only ended up with a couple of minor scratches but for the most part he was purring while I was shaving the poor bugger.

Maybe we should merge this thread with the "How smooth is smooth ?" thread, or would that be wrong...

Bogger is not the only one that has many "funny" comments eager to come out.:p

Man I can't even brush my cat let alone do that.

Once his feet were muddy, so I thought I would rinse off his paws....

ya-NO! not doing that again....

Looks like he is wearing Mukluks...LOL
