Does shaving heads down on a 2 stroke help much in the power department or just make ya put more expensive gas in?

What would be the best thing to do with shaving the heads? I just want to go fast

Well on those old 670's there is some hp to gain, but it cost's some money. you want to go fast i recommend at least a GOOD port job, trim the head, pipe it, shorty intake(scrap the oil inj) bore and flow the carbs. If you want to get serious tunnel port it aswell or head straight for the 740 program.;)

Well anything gets better with MORE POWER but the problem with that sled as far as a mod goes is the chassis.(not knockin) The f chassis is heavy and the geometry is all wrong, unless your goin drag racing. The engine however in the right chassis ROCKS for a sweet light weight mod as the 670 with some fat trimmed off the edges only weighs 65-70lbs. if it were me i'd find an s-chassis or zx even an old wedge or gen 2 polaris chassis, build your engine and lightweight the chassis.:D;)

It will look like the 97, 98 rmk chassis. They work well in the steep and deep. IMO;)
