I friend just email me this andI thought I would share it:

Car Keys

Good information.

Put your car keys beside your
bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to
get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm
will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you
turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood
watch coordinator.

Next time you come home for the
night and you st art to put your keys away, think of this: It's a
security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no
installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your
house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you
reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in
your driveway or garage.

If your car alarm goes off when
someone is trying to break in your house, odds are the burglar or rapist
won't stick around... after a few seconds all the neighbors will be
looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the
criminal won't want that.

And remember to carry your keys
while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same
way there..... This is something that should really be shared with
everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

P.S. I am sending this to
everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful
for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a
phone.

My Mom has suggested to my Dad
that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she
doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know
there's a problem

Catdude, from what I recall of your dog, I can`t see any burglers running away too fast from her.

A few months ago we were watching a movie with the dog in the house and the dog suddenly got up ginda grumbled and growled a bit, persitantly. Heard kids out front but theres always kids out at night around here. I let her out cause she really wanted to get out and bark at something. Let her out the back first, she ran around and barked up the whole yard then came back in the house. Let her out the front and she saw something, lit up and was going to tear down the streat. I stopped her. I didn't want to go looking for her at 11:00 at night. The next day I noticed the sub in my truck was gone.

Do you guys think if I let the dog go I would have found my sub down the block laying in the street??? Dogs about 65lbs, 3 years old and fast like real f'n quick with a bark you can feel in your chest from about 20 feet.

My dog will jump up and bark every now and then. The wife gets pi$$ at him but I let him go out side and bark up a storm. Even if its just a bird or squrrel, anyone that maybe there will know I have a dog.

I can tell from the pitch and frequency of my dog's barking from deer in the yard to people prowling. he absolutely freaks out when vehicles stop at the driveway on the highway out front about 150 yards from the house. can't say enough about a vigilant dog. the gas man won't get out of his pickup until someone goes outside to calm the dog, then he's your best friend. great for peace of mind when I'm away at work for a few days at a time.

My dog (big fat lab) will just roll over and let the burgler in the house but if he is in the backyard look out!!!! That is his domain and god be with the person who gets caught in there with out permission. The power meter reader and the dog have a good relationship but the gas meter and water meter guys just read the meter through the fence.
