Riding areas around elkford?

Where are the best riding areas around elkford? Is ther snow yet. Is there snow in fernie?

The elkford recreational society does a great job on advising of the grooming schedule and snow conditions. You should check out their site. Last time I checked in, I think they were talking about 1' of snow up top. :d

very little snow in Elkford, not sure about Fernie, web cam on the ski hill dosn't look promissing at all !!!!!

I've just done trail riding with the family out of Elkford but I think thier main area is Koko Claims, northwest of town. They groom from the town into Koko Claims.

I think he meant he has done it in the past, not this year. But there has to be tons of snow out there now!!! at least 18 inches!

I say go for it!!!! Wide open all the way!!!

Like Modman said, road there last year with the Calgary Club.

I've heard 2 ft in the meadows...not enough for me yet.

There was 20" up top in the meadow on Dec 7th....another 10-12" on the 14th but the rocks on the way up are brutal....lots of nuggets and stumps so it is just on the roads so far...only 6" in the Bull River Valley....pretty sketchy so far....
