Who is using these radios and how well do they work?

I have heard that a person can get a higher output wattage if bought from the states. Any lines on who has the cheapest price for these items?

Thanks.

GPS Central in Calgary and they are $425 not including the $50 rebate. So, $375. That is a good price.

I have a 530 and a couple of the 110's. They work well and have a fairly good range. Not as good as the US ones though.

The nice thing is that they show where the other radio is located (feature only works with the Rhino series) and it will communicate with other radios on the same channel. (ie Cobra, etc)

Wouldn't be without mine.....

Well I just seen the DeLorme Earthmate PN-60w with SPOT Communicator

Now I don't know what to get now, I was set on the 530 but the DeLorme might be considered now too. What do you guys think about it??

Or should I get the 530 and also add the SPOT, but I like the 2 way in the 530. But I also have a set of Motorola 2 ways but I am not sure of the power.

Really torn, need some input please.

BC GPS store has the 5 watt available for $479.00, Link below

Not sure how much from discover in Edmonton as they are closed till tomorrow.
Will call and get a price from them. Link provided below.

They both will sell you the 5 watt version of the Garmin rino 530. With the rebate this is a pretty good deal.
I found some refurbished ones from thUS for around $300 but they do not qualify for the rebate and also have no warranty.

Any better purchase prices please post.

I

So that would be $479.00 + 12% = $536.48 (with HST)

Thanks for your input!

You have one mathematical error. The rebate of $50.00,

You also did not understand the shipping cost or you would have included the whole price.

Find me a better deal!

I think we should all have them!
Safety in numbers.

Thanks Ron, for your line on a dealer. We should find a great price!

I'm gonna pull the trigger on this and will get you one if you want...there will most likely be no deal as the MSRP is 599 and after shipping, dollar etc bout 420 CDN...that is if they make it through Customs without being hijacked by CRA...asking for USPS not UPS better odds.

Again...I phoned all around the chuck today an no one sells the 5 watts. Retail on the 530 2 watt was 490 plus gst

That's the one. Had no problems with shipping but for sure you should go USPS...never ship out if the states with UPS, brokerage fees are a killer.
