Reverse for a '07 summit 800xrs

I've only ever ridden sleds with reverse, and found it's fairly handy to have, when needed. (I'm not a big guy ~165 lbs, so every bit helps)

The sled I just bought doesn't have reverse, and I'm wondering if it's a nightmare to install, or if it's fairly painless and inexpensive. Thoughts?

Also, electric start might be nice to have??(never used one). anyone have experience installing one of these??

yes it does have reverse, it is located on the handle bars, left side and say rer/start
push that when it is running and the engine will spin in reverse and you can back up

mabe u shouldn't ride it .... cause if u don't know that skidoo has had and engine reverse since 01-02 ....

It must be voice activated.. cause there aren't any "buttons"

The guy you bought from must have moved the block, as reverse came stock. Take a photo of the bars and console and maybe someone can spot the button for ya.

Maybe it's just the whitish plastic push pimple? The button should go over to of but has been lost.

Some of you are pretty hard on a guy who just bought a new to him sled.

Doesn't the XRS have the race controls? So on the left hand side, near or below the brake reservoir, there may be a red push control switch. That should be your Reverse.

It is possible they moved the red flipper down on the controls elsewhere. First thing I would do is call the guy who sold it to you and ask.

also should have been told buy the guy u bought it from if the switching was changed..... also mabe the guy that sold it would have expected everyone to know about having reverse.... i probably would too

That's basically what I was saying> I can't seem to edit posts as there are some grammatical errors that may confuse the post.
But you are correct, a race control and it is different and the one I saw had just a whitish thing that one pushed......

Yes, I said nipple. That's what i remember when I had to move one of those. I couldn't find reverse and was told it had the "racing reverse" button.
As I remember, it was a whitish nipple or a rather small protrusion.

But as you know, I'm a little older and forgetful.....
