Anyone on here using these guys for home security? A guy came to my door and there offer is $1400 worth of equipment and install all for $0 and $44.99/month for 5 yrs then it drops to $30.99 you also get 10% off your home owners insurance (approx $120-130/yr). What do you guys think?

i'd be asking lots of questions, and check with your insurance agent. again ask lots of questions, as there usually is a catch, as in nothing is given away. especially by door to door salesmen.

That's good advice. I'm sure they would have a list of preferred security agents.

I talked to my insurance and they gave me the figures. They say that this is promotional deal. the dude assured that there would not be any additional charges there is also a 10 day trial period if you don't think its necessary they come and take everything out free of charge.

I had them wire it into our house during framing.
A alarm company installed it for reliance.
We added a lot of extras.
Paid around 1600.00 for the install. I can't remember the monitoring fee.

We are happy with the system.

Well i had the salesman come back when my wife came home since she did all the research on security systems for her office and she hammered him with questions and it all sounds like a decent deal. They are installing as i type.

Are you getting the small remotes. Love the thing can put in your pocket and arm or unarm the house before opening a door.

HAHA They got me to. Had them stop by saturday, saw them coming and went outside and closed the door behind me, told him not intersted and to take a hike, after telling him not interested 3 times, wife came to see what was up. She said she wanted it for when im sleding in the mountains. Anyhow he got into the house and after i listened to him it seem like a good deal, and is now installed!! Got a motion detector in garage as well. Glad im not the only one. He was a good salesman.

Same reason my wife and myself wanted it. I had a sled stolen this last feb and the guys scoped out my house because they knew when i wasn't home exactly what my rev was. they switched out the computer and drove the sled away. That didn't feel too good knowing someone was watching while i was in fort mac.

That alarm system is just going to save my butt from having to shoot someone.
