Reed Spacers and Boysen Reeds?

Today I installed my new motor and added the reed spacers to the Boysen Reeds I had. When we went to put the carbs on there was little room to fit them because of the jackshaft cover sheild. We had to loosen the motor mounts to put on the carbs into the boots. The airbox fit on fine also but the carbs are touching the jackshaft cover. Is there anything to worry about like this or is there something else I should get to make a better fit or should I take out the spacers.

unless u want to buy new carb bowls.... take the spacers out...
