Rear driveshaft

How do you remove the rear shaft on 06 polaris 800 tried removing the role pin and sliding it forward or back but can not move it far enough.Hope i do not have to unbolt the diff,any advice would be appreciated.Also where to find service shop manual:d

If your shaft is welded at the slip joint you will have to cut it or move the dif...I know the one I put on my 02 has a slididing spline so I could easly push it up to install so if you replace it with a new one get a earlier one that will slide when you take out the role pin

Thanks Ya I just had to unbolt the diff and slide it back I got a couple older polaris 500's and they just slip out.:d

No prob but if you have an Idea how to fix my 4x4 switch let me know...it will not engage in reverse.

justalv's quad is 02 sportsman 700

you have to push the yellow over ride button for the 4x4 to work in revers
