power is damn near the same on the HO and in my opinion much more reliable than the 2007 R. unless the 2007 has been updated i would then go with that hands down.

Isn't a h.o. 140 hp and a r 150+? but I agree h o will be more reliable and they are not a monoblock right??

I've owned both a 05 and 07. The 07 with the updated engine is by far a better engine for smooth power does not have the hit the ho's have. the 05 i had ported by Al in revy and it ran good but could not out climb riding partners stock 07. There ar pro's and con's to both but with the fuel we get now I would pick a 07. If you get a batch of fuel with ethonal in it the ho with not run worth 5 cents the r engines are a little more forgiving.

I know a guy that has an 07 Summit with the 800R and he's had the motor rebuilt 4 times and all were for different reasons. I'd stay away from the R if it were me.
