I got wind of a quad chip for sale that would fit into my quad, but i know absolutly NOTHING about these thing.... I was hoping you guys could educate me some. I have an '06 700 sportsman, stock. I don't know what kind of chip this is... is there different kinds? What are they worth? He is looking for $40. for this one. What difference will it make to the quad? How much H.P. will i gain? Will it effect the fuel economy? Would i have to do any other mods to the clutch or anything else on the quad??

Any advice would be appreciated!! :)

if its only $40.00 i think you would be wasting your money. a good programmer by itself won't do much. might make the throttle feel a little crisper but thats about it.

He said he paid over $100 for it, but if all i'm going to get is a bit more throttle response then you're right.... not worth it!

Thanks!!

it may be a descent programmer if it was that much. but to really make it worth your time you need to do exhaust and an air filter atleast.

just pic your favorite sounding exhaust and a filter like a uni. on my old 800 i noticed a lot more low end power. nothing really top end.
