Just wondering how many people run with or without sway bars on their machines?

I never thought twice bout it till this past weekend, when i broke the support bracket and bushings and twisted the bar...

Rather than replacing it (which doesn't seem too difficult or expensive) what do I gain/loose if I just remove it?

Thanks

Oh, this is on a '10 Rzr S

if you take corners at 25kph you'll notice and if you like to power slide corners (feel like your going to flip ). a sway bar will actually will make you lose traction if you ride in extremely rough terrain .<br>

mine broke a couple of years ago , didn't bother replacing it.

I don't know what the rzr is like without sway bars but I took them off my Rhino and left them off. The Rhino was less tippy on side hills and the suspension was able to flex and work more when going through those ruff pot hole areas. Take them off, go for a rip and see how it feels then you'll know.

On my 850 quad i do not run a sway bar and it articulates much better . In the rough stuff/ mud you need all the traction you can get..

.Now on the RZR S we run a sway bar because of the long travel it already articulates quite well to begin with. We tried it without and it was noticeably more tippy /tilty . However if you run better springs (racer tech , makin tracs progressives ) i would then run without the sway bar, because the springs are much stiffer and more progressive as they compress...

If your rzr s has a few miles on it, chances are the stock springs are weak and therefore i would change out the springs and delete the sway bar..............imo

The best thing to do is to try it. I ran all my jeeps without them. They all handled better except the TJ which on road is better with it on. I tried it with my Grizzly for one ride and it was scary as phuk. Went back in right away.
