Having bought and rode the 09 Nytro for a bit I found it a fun an exciting sled, but the upgrades I was looking at would pretty much have exceeded the price of a new 2010 Nytro MTX so today I worked a deal on a new sled and have traded the 09 for the new one.

Gonna take it out this weekend and I am sure it's going to be a better ride overall where I'm looking for the increased track and lighter weight to give me better flotation and less trenching with the 162" track over the 153" on the 09.

I should have bought the 10 in the first place but never claimed to be intelligent, just spontaneous!

Dunno about the swaybar as I never rode the 09 again, but I have rode the 10 and it's wickedly awesome. Live the wider stance, the longer track and the ride of it. It stands up nicely on WOT and handles great considering the sway bars eliminated for the 10 models.

It freakin rocks!

plenty to like 'bout the Yammi's,but how do you find the weight of it,pretty exhausting when boondocking or being stuck.are they pretty fun to ride or pretty doggie?i'd like one,for reliabillity, but 500-600 lbs!!

crap almost forgot to update ya'll haha. I love my new 2010!!!! it handled great climbed well and just overall felt better. the subtle differences made a big picture improvement. although it still needs the stock track replaced. the newer camoplast is a bit stiffer but its still startin to fold over. the widened front end makes it more stable and somehow doesnt make it harder to roll over and side hill. the fox floats and the new rear skid solve any of the suspension problems i had with my 08. the tapered tunnel extension not only looks cool i found it did like they claimed and doesnt float out or collect as much snow. basically all the things they said it does are true and it just plain feels like a better sled. also i should probably say that before i even rode it i installed my rapid bike tunner and did my under tunnel exhaust relocation mod with an aftermarket pipe. two things i think that no nytro should be without. i also installed a shockwave helix and weighted the primary to compensate for the chip.

Great info on the update. I find my track is already folding over with 800km on it now. It doesn't carry snow very well and I'm already on the fourth set of sliders so it's all about to change. This summer I'll change out the track for a Camo 9943 Extreme, Avid Driver and an SLP Anti-Stab Wheel Kit. That should help it out a whole bunch and get it to hook better in the deep stuff.

Price has dropped to 775.00 on the track this week, so that's good news! :)

A 2.5 lug track is very tight on the Apex...probably not ideal but I'd do it again. The traction is awsome! Not sure on the Nytro about clearance, what size drivers? If they're 8 tooth you could drop down to 7 and that would maintain the same clearance.

I'll give you a hand, no problem. I've done a couple, although never one with mechanical reverse. It's awkward to get that drive shaft back in with a new larger lug track....definitely much easier with a helper.

Take lots of pictures as you take it apart, very handy when re-assembling the chaincase to make sure you get all the washers and spacers in the right place.

Let me know when you want to tackle it.

Ifg you have gone through four sets of hifax this past season you should break down and buy hyperfax. They are a little pricey but they do not wear much at all.I have a set with a thousand miles on and they have no wear what so ever.

Just bought a 2010 today, :d with the promos the dealers have on right now I couldn't wait till fall. Have been doing lots of reading of reviews and haven't heard any real issues other than the track which seems to be common on the stock tracks. I have an AC 700 Powder Special and just got tired of the smell in the garage. Pretty excited to get out this fall.

What did they charge you for it? Thinking of selling mine as I have a lead on a nicely modified turbo unit that I'm thinking of buying if I can sell mine first.

2010 prices are 13200 +/- right now, was trolling for trade in value and alls any of the big dealers in Edmonton would give me for a trade in on a new 2011 was 8700 as that is what the "blue book" was listing. Not sure if that helps but I would expect a hefty loss.
