I couldn't get my kid's PS3 to work on wifi either, it will connect but seems as if the connection is either weak or too slow. ended up just using a network cable run from the router to his room.

Yes, I would also say you are too far away. My router is in the opposite end of my house in the basement and my PS3 will connect but it is very intermittent and I can't do anything online because of it. I will have to run a wire from my router to fix it I guess.

My laptop and touch always connect. This problem happens to over 60% of the users. My Playstation has 65% signal strength and connects but has the dsn error. Its an open wifi so theres no pass code.

You could try to change the channel on the router. A lot of routes are just left on the default channel making for a lot of congestion. What brand and model number is your router?
