I'm just tweaking the design of my Performance ATV Snorkels before completing the install and was wondering if any of you have figured out a decent way of protecting your stacks from a roll over?

I want to keep them rigid while allowing them to easily break away or bend if (when) I roll.

Use flex hose when it goes through the plastic, kinda like a connector piece for the stacks. Make it water tight, but not super tight. When you roll it the risers will pop out of the flex hose.

If it comes through the right part in your plastic it can crack your plastic easilly.
After you come through your plastic/rack/ whatever always go with rubber coupler and two clamps. A little grease and light pressure on the clamps will seal it ,however if the bike does a 180 the snorkels will pull out of the coupler and it might even save you a few hundred bucks......

Are you on glue!
who the hell wants to pack pvc and glue on a ride in the bush?
might as well strap a toilet and sink on too for when you need to ch!t then you can wash your hands after!

Just put a chunk of flex hose where the pvc meets the plastic. its super easy

No kidding ,not to mention breaking plastic and abs under the bike. Always come thru with a malefitting with a rubber washer underneath put another washer on top and screw on the female coupling .This seals it and holds it in place, them just put a rubber coupler on top of this....hope this helps.

well if you don't want to take a piece of pipe stay the fawwwk home you don't belong in the bush. or just stay out of the holes till you get it fixed, shheeet that don't cost ya a dime. you should use a little glue once in a while your a little loose.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll try somthing along those lines to allow the stacks to break away. However, I'm bringing my stacks up through my hood, so I won't be able to secure them the way that I would if they were coming through the fenders. I guess I'll have to experiment with some sort of collapsible bracket or find a good, solid way of anchoring the pipes before they come through the hood to keep the stacks from flailing around.

To be honest, there is a bar the Honda's use that bolts to the front rack to protect the handlebars and gauge pod in the even of a rollover,.. I tried searching for pictures are information but couldn't find any pertinent information for you.

Yeah, I think I like the idea of the rollover bar especially if I ever relocate my rad.
