THE LADY FROM CRANK SHOP WAS NOT MUCH HELP, THIS IS WHAT SHE SAID, (What I have is for twin pipes at 6000' to start with a 440 main jet on the 800 rmk/xc Usually with our pipes we suggest jetting up 2 sizes from stock and test from there). MY ELEVATION IS 2175, THERE IS A HOLTZMAN ON IT, VEFORCE III REEDS, THE JETS IN THERE ARE 480 BOTH SIDES. WHAT IS A GOOD PLACE TO START, 460, 8300 CLUTCHING?

how's about you jet up 4 sizes and try it from there? It would be best if you read your plugs once you change the jets because no one here can tell you what your jetting is going to be like with your combo of reeds and pipes. You need to read the plugs.

Thanks for the info, I am planning on setting from the plug color, just wanted to make sure I am starting from a safe point, didn't want to rebuild a new motor that I am just putting in.

Check what SLP has for a spec for thier twins for your model. SLP specs are traditionally very safe, so would be a safe starting point. Then check wash & plugs....
