pop quiz for all the guys who know yamaha parts!

bought a RX-1 reverse kit to put on a Apex. was told it will just bolt on!

now that I got it on and know the problem, besides different gear ratio or chain size........does anyone know what part is different from the RX-1 to the Apex in the reverse kit???????

Not of top of head, but if you go to yamah canada website. They have a parts finder, you can print off pic/part numbers of each sled. Then check to see whats different. The RX1 uses 21/40 with a 68link, Apex is 20/40 with 70link.

Outer cover is different as the Apex uses a different brake caliper, I have Apex kits in stock. Darren

ok the Rx1 cover fits my Apex and caliper works......came accross no problem with that! the only isue I had was the "L" shaped lever in the linkage.....the Rx1 has a 2 inch by 2 inch "L" that is about 85 degs as compared to the Apex that one side of the "L" is only 1.250.......so the linkage hit the rad.......just shorted one side of the "L" up and all was good....... I see both covers have a different part number but it seems to work great!

Ya it was one of the two, the Apex cover will not fit with RX-1 caliper. Darren
