Polaris ranger winch issue

so i installed a new rt40 warn on my 08 ranger and when i run the winch out it will not run in unless i wait 20 sec or so the if i go to run out it needs the same delay wtf? there is no consistency to the time delay and when it is running in/out it works fine but you can't toggle from in/out with out waiting any advice pls would be appreciated

I would go back and check all the connections just to make sure. the winch shouldnt have a time delay like that. start there, if not you might have a warranty issue and contact warn.
