I blew my 05 rev up in revy a couple of years ago and rented a 09 dragon 800 and it was a really nice sled. It did'nt pull like my rev but it was a rental and not dialed in and it still went really good. The 06 revs are a really good solid machine with little to no engine problems and the dragon had motor problems but i think most of those machines will have the updated pistons. For me it would come down to $$$ and which sled is in better shape.

Ive riddin the new rmk's and some revs. I have a fair bit of seat time on both too. I do like design on the rmk chassis, but I like the revs feeling better. The rev gives me confidance.

ya last winter when i was on break for christmas i had my uncles 06 rev 800 and dam i absolutly loved the feeling of that thing. power was amazing. tinny guy like me has to hang on for dear life when i slapped that throttle to the bar. i have been on a dragon for a brief ride and i noticed power difference but i realli liked how easy it was to through around. so im just stuck. both are around the same price and both are in awesome shape.

yea tough choice. i ride a 900 cat but drove an rev 800 in lucille and it climbed awesome, had great power, but i thought it was pretty tough/different to maneuvre and toss around. the following year rode a drogon briefly, again felt a little different but definitley liked it better than a rev.
its all about personal preference i guess. whatever your more comfortable on.

the 06 rev's are supposed to be the best year for the rev's. i had an 05 and loved it. felt very weird and akward when i rode my buddies dragon! another good question is which dealer is closer to you and which one has better service. cause sooner or later your gonna need parts or repairs, no matter what machine you get

I have one of each..... an '07 800 rev and an '08 800 dragon. They both have had the updates, the rev has a few mods on the clutch, so i think they are comparable machines.

The dragon handles great.... really "lite", the rev needs to be manhandled a bit more, but the rev pulls much better!!

Like everyone else on here says.... it is a personal preference... what is more important to you?

Good luck.... and happy shopping! :)

I just bought an 07 rev during the winter, Love it..... Rode the assault 800, found it pretty tippy, same with last years 800 cat, but with some seat time I probably would start to enjoy those machines as well. Again all in what you feel comfortable on!! Have fun shopping!

ya like i have had enough seat time on the 06 rev to love it it was great for what i wanted it to do. but i have no real seat time on either a of the others A/C never been on a new one. and very little time on the Polaris. cant say i didnt like the dragon just felt it needed alittle more in the power department.
and hey quick question is 3200 km on a 2008 XP to much like hes asking 5500 which is awesome? but is that to much?

I paid more than that for my 07, but with less KM, showing, but the odometer was unpluged when I got it home, so.... I don't think so, but I would ask some of the other guys on here... I would be worried about the engine with that many KM But that is just me

The power thing, clutching and gearing can make a huge difference, not everyone has their machine correctly clutched or geared, keep that in mind, a buddy rode a 07 rev and hated it, and rode mine a few weeks later and said it was a way better ride... And side by side it mine walked all over his new M8

ya i am realli liking the revs for the fact that i hear less about em breaking and then all i hear is that they dominate the compition. most of the time. but ya its basically come down to price and i just want somthing to get me up to the top as fast as i can :)

yea i would definitley say that is too much for that amount of kms. i mean some sleds go till 5000 kms without touchin anything but plugs and belt, but thats rare with the way people ride the machines
shop around for deals, a dealer in the city offered my dad an 03' 900 mountain cat that was still in the crate for $5000.... beauty deal.
good luck.
