TWO WOLVES
One evening an old Cherokee Indian told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, always remember that there is a battle between 'two wolves' inside us all. The one wolf is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."
"The other wolf is is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which one of the wolves will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

THIS PUTS OUR WORLD INTO A PERSPECTIVE MORE EASILY UNDERSTOOD.

If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following:

There would be:
57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
8 Africans
52 would be female
48 would be male
70 would be non-white
30 would be white
70 would be non-Christian
30 would be Christian
89 would be heterosexual
11 would be homosexual
6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all
6 would be from the United States.
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth
1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education
1 would own a computer

When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding and education becomes glaringly apparent.

The following is also something to ponder...
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare, even in the United States and Canada.

If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Someone once said: What goes around comes around.

Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
Pass this on, and brighten someone's day. Nothing will happen if you do not decide to pass it along.

The only thing that will happen, if you DO pass it on, is that someone might smile because of you. :)

This should be on everyone's sled or quad......

The Champion’s Creed

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed.
And the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion
to the number of times I can fail
and keep trying.

Perception is by far the worst and best thing one has but isn't in control of!the grass is always greener?? usually only from one vantage point.you don't know what you got till it's gone!want's and needs are very different as are people.if at first you don't succeed....try try again....and again!anything worth doing, is worth doing well.put your best foot foward!the best kept secrets are really not secrets at all.life is a journey best defined by no specific path!Love someone everyday.Be human!

You can get a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?

No, I mean is, you can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up a butcher's ass... No, wait. It's gotta be your bull.

WOW

All of these were penned by Albert Einstein

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new

A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?

Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.

It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer.

Nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing.

Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.

Technological progress is like an axe in the hands of a pathological criminal.

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.

We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.

When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity.

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.
