So... went for a 100km ride the other day.

Overheated about 10 times. limited the revs to 4000. Found the rad was a little plugged. Dipped her in water and cleaned her out pretty good. Still overheated.

Funny thing is... I poured water on the side of my block, and the water wouldnt boil off, just slowly evaporate... My riding buddy has the exact same quad... down the the clutching and tires... His quad gave him no overheating issues, but when we would pour water on the side of his block, it would boil and turn into steam right away!

This is leading me to believe that temperature sensor is plugged... I had a clean rad, and I was doing about 60 km/h.... It was 8 celsius out.. .lots of cold air.

Thoughts?

You may want to check your coolant level. Just becuase there is coolant in the overflow doesn't necesarily mean that you're not low on coolant. I ran into this issue last year with my grizz when I couldn't figure out why I was overheating after 3 mnutes of just idling. ...overflow was full but my rad was empty.

how much coolant in the rad it'self......... if not there is a flow issue or your temp sensor could be kaput.

Had same issue when my kodiak was new, overflow was right full but the top rad hose that was covered did not have the clamp put on it so the hose came off and there was not a drop of coolant in it, mabye just something to check.
