For Polaris goodies. Our dollar is almost at par with the states. Get a load of these Canadian prices as compared to the USA on the Polaris site.

The biggest difference between the two countries is we are a socialist country. We have higher taxes as a result of looking after things that we take for granted. Paved roads, health care( such that it is) and reasonably good schools. As a result most things do cost more however, there is more competition in the states that does bring the price down. Price you pay for being a small population. Also our average pay is higher in Canada then in the States. Small price to pay for what we have here. :canadaflag:

It’s there in a lot of commodities not just recreation products, Cost of automobiles, heavy equipment there are huge differences, we buy the same equipment and trucks for jobs on both sides of the border and have indicated to the manufactures that if they don’t do something we will just buy it down there and ship them …. Well in trucks they just shrugged their shoulders and pressured the governments to stop them at the border…..hence the BS trying to bring new trucks across. But with some brands of equipment they did listen and came to the table.

But I liked the answer from a major manufacture when under a national account program covering both sides of the border, when asked why the price difference responded with

“ well the truth is Canadians will pay more”

Problem is if they're both spelled correctly it won't pick it up!

Price out wadges...?

We have a farm east of Great falls, 2400 acres of grain, 200 head of full bloods, 400 commercial cows and ton of hired help. 85 % work for room and food plus a small $$ monthly. I know I could not find anyone in Red Deer to do what they do for the $$. I should add they are for the most part a very happy bunch as well.

I think the custom combiners charged us $18000 trucked to town
