I had a problem with my 09 oil tank cap leaking do to warpage, so I bought 2 inserts to install in both my sleds. The insert should be installed at the factory because it works.
It keeps the opening from warping, I didn't realize how badly my 2011 was warped until it went to install the insert. a little heat from the wifes hair dryer fixed the warpage on both sleds and the insert dropped right in, tipped the sleds on their side for about 30min and no leaks.
I got my inserts from teth air or source innovations in calgary.

do you know what caused the warpage because i have an 09 as well and my cap has never leaked and the only thing i do different than most of my xp friends is just barely tighten the oil cap instead of putting it on really tight?

I barely tightned my 2011 and it warped maybe from the heat of the exhaust? I dunno but i wasn't expecting my 2011 to be warped at all.

My '08 never leaked from day 1, but this year it started to leak, go figure. I put that insert in and all is good again.:)
