just wondering what most people are using as an in line restrictor on the pressure side of the turbo (oil) ??? ive heard lots of sizes lately, anything from a 35 (pilot jet) to no restrictor at all........ anyone have any answers ?
Depends what your tied into for a oil supply, some have the system like alpine with the oil filter piggy back plate, some drill into the oil cooler and thread a restrictor fitting into it, this method is the Boondocker set-up.
It also depends on what size turbo and type you are using and how much oil flow is required for it as some use oil for cooling and lubrication. I believe you should run some type of restriction as the oil pressure is to high and can cause turbo seals to weep/leak especially when the oil is cold it pressures up the turbo housing.
