Heres my take on removing the bulky, annoying Switch-Block and Kill-Switch off of the handlebars COMPLETELY!!!!!! Pulled harness out of switchblock, removed pinouts, and mounted switched into the Cover-Plate used for the extra Gauge you can put in.... Simple and CHEAP to reverse, as all I have to do is remove switches and remount switchblock.... harness on handlebars have not been altered, just extended to make their way BACK to underneath the Dash....

The way I see it, the little Filler-plate for the speedo is a lot cheaper to replace than the whole console assembly...

I found myself hitting the switches or they got broken during a roll... $175 for the whole control assembly is a little rich for me... Plus the Kill switch always got caught by the gloves on a side-hill........

Yes they are sealed switches, the seals are threaded on...

Next time your out for a ride mash the throttle wide open and try taking one hand off and throwing that little toggle. Then after try pulling out the tether after mashing the throttle full. I guess you could just jump off. Not a attractive option!
Hey I'm just saying if you ride enough in the mountain in deep snow your throttle will stick even just slighty iced up around the throttle can scare the crap out of you. I know the kill switch is a pia but I rather have control of the sled at all times.
Just don't want watch you on u Tube riding out of control trying to shut your sled down, but then again that could be entertaining!!

Sigh....... Everyone thinks everything is a dumb-ass idea here..... I'm not the only one who has thought of and attempted this MOD..... The kill switch WAS on the sled was tall and bulky..... plus, if you didnt hold it long enough to actually kill the motor... It popped into reverse.... That is why I moved kill switch... Sure Frozen throttle is bad... BUT, having a frozen throttle, and then having the sled pop into reverse WHILE having a frozen throttle.... IMO id rather fall off backwards than thrown over the bars....

MY sled has the one piece Kill switch/ Throttle assembly.... I've seem that a few people have turned their switch to the underside of the bars, but I do not have that luxury.... When I get a different Throttle assembly, I will replace kill switch with one that is separate from the throttle, SO I can turn it downward.... Until then, this will work just fine.....

Tell you what mountainbigball, if and when my sled decides to go on a trip all on its own.... YOU will be the first one to know... Ill even send you a signed piece of panel...

Ok cool man try and get footage!! Just kidding I would never wish anyone anything bad. Glad you considering something for the kill switch that a little more closer to the throttle! And for the record its not dumb assed. You have a good idea with the other switches and I have had mine go in reverse more than once!

OK, then I apologize... Yes if there was ANYTHING Id like to keep on the bars it is the kill, but until i find a throttle this will have to do.... The main reason I did it is my High/Low beam switch broke, along with my RER, all it was doing was letting snow in the switches and shorting out...... Do you know if I can but any throttle assembly?? Or do most throttle assemblies have different travel lengths???? Still want full throttle, from idle to WOT, just worried Im gonna get a throttle that still leaves carbs partially closed on WOT or open on Idle...

Tell you what. I have 09 Xp and it has separate kill from the throttle. I can measure the cable pull. That might give a idea if it will work on your rev.

That would be awesome!! Thanks... Ive also thought about purchasing the little red RER buttons they have now and re-pin it into the harness.. Almost impossible to push those buttons accidently...

Doos don't have that much power you could hit that kill switch if it was on the hood. Lol. Had to say it and be the first. Might as well say it and beat some of the other guys with there helpful comments on here lol. Was thinking of doing the same thing on my 1000. And adding the xrs throttle block and kill switch. I like having clean bars. Last year I rerouted all my cables into my riser block except for my throttle and break just to clean it up.

Measures 27 mm cable pull when measured in this fashion

My kill switch is positioned forward. That helps the accidental kills on a sidehill !

Ya I'm a doo guy. Should work great. I had an o1 zx that I had rigged up with the 06 800 riser and bars with xrs throttle block and kill switch. All fit fine. Been meaning to do it to my RT but just settled for a five cent windshield rubber shoved under my kill switch, so you actually have to hold the kill switch down to kill the motor.
