No lights need help??????

HEy guys I got a '97 mm 600 and I dont have any headlight or tail light,
i've checked the bulbs and they are good , i checked the power with a 12v light (tester) and have no power running to them, how do you check the stator, the colors in the manual do not coincide with the wire colors on the machine, besides ohming out the wires is there any other way to check?

sorry guys, I checked the power again and I have power runing to all legs including the green ground this doesn't seem right to me? any help at all would help

check all your grounds are good clean conections.the green will show power if not grounded properly
