New to snowand mud looking for 06 summit

I live in the middle of some of the best terrain in Clearewater BC Canada, and ride a 07 XL650 in the summer and 90 phazer that actually gets me to the backcountry for some great touring. Now I am looking to upgrade to 06 summit or 2013. I would like to get a used one for now though. I have talked to many doo riders and they all tell me the same thing get a 06 or 2013. I checked the classifieds on here and most seem sold, but it is very difficult to navigate and there is no way to keep track of what I have looked at already. I have ridden new Cats, Polaris and Doo's and the Doo seems to be the best fit for how I ride(not well) I mostly do high elivation touring and really like breaking trail through the alpine and tight trees. Started looking at the 600 and quickly was told not to waste my $$, but am not convinced as I have not ridden a 600.
If you know of any 06's around not ready to blow let me know, I am ready for some new terrain.
