Thanks for the welcome note.

After being away from sleds for many years, I'm rolling back into it on a new Nytro. Just took the classroom AST1 course today and will be doing the field portion in a couple weeks. I'll be doing some trail riding with the wife throughout the winter but will try and hook up with some other people through the forums and clubs where I hope to get a few rides in at Quartz Creek, Revelstoke and perhaps the Crowsnest areas when I find some other people to ride with.

Pumped to be back into sledding and hoping to hook up with some other riders from Alberta and BC!

Joined the Calgary club last week and will likely head out on their club rides and down to Cataract Creek to break in the new sled. Wife is a new rider so I'll use Cataract to get her comfortable with riding. Thanks for the info and maybe we'll get a ride in sometime. :)

I'm Sledderglen's girlfriend from Calgary. Glen is experienced, I'm just learning but we would be willing to get together for a ride some weekend. I purchased a Skidoo Summit 146 600 etech in the spring. For what it cost, I could have had one hell of a horse!

With all that machine sitting beneath you, I'd say you got enough horse. Great picture and hope to get a ride in with you guys sometime. Now I'm out looking at new sleds for the wife. Might have to buy another Nytro for her just so she can keep up with the Jone's. :)

Thanks Mare.

I appears that there are plenty of people from Alberta and BC on this forum and that is very nice to see. Looking forward to riding with a few of you already.

Cheers....G

lets compare

horse ya have to feed everyday whether ya want to or not
sled you only have to feed when you ride it

horse ya have to find the damn thing when ya want to ride it
sled its usually right where ya left it

when you break a horse usually thats the end of the horse
sled a couple of nights fixing her up and your good to go

horse when you get it stuck its no fun at all
sled when you get it stuck no fun at all

horse when its time has come turns into (no need to say it )
sled when its time is over you can recycle the parts and let someone else enjoy for years to come

and if ya ever want to head down to crowsnest pass this year hit us up we go down there alot

also we are hosting the asa jamboree this year get your tickets early

That is just too funny. We are going to the jamboree and have our room booked already, not sure about the tickets. Sledderglen will be travelling incognito this year as we are using my truck. 2005 Dodge Ram quad cab with a picture of a lighthouse on the front. Hope to see you there!

Welcome to Snow and Mud... I live out in Canmore and just got back into sledding this year myself with an 09 Summit 800. Shoot me a PM if you want to hit Golden or Revy on Dec 19-20 or want to do some trail riding on Dec 4, 5, or 6 at Cataract with your wife (my gf will be riding 2up with me that weekend)
Cheers,
-Owen
