Hey now, my family moved to Leduc a year ago and we just picked up some atvs and trying to find good family riding areas. Our rides are ME, 46, WR450F, my wife YOUNGER than me, TRV650, DAUGHTER1, 12, TTR125 DAUGHTER2, 7, ARCTIC CAT 90. We visited the pit past Millet which was excellent for my 12 year old to learn clutch and time in the saddle, same for my 7 year old. Plan on heading to Rocky mountain house area ie. Caroline, Nordegg as well as Edson and Cadomin etc. coming up. Been to Redwater and Bruderhiem but 7 year olds small atv (narrow wheelbase) tracked one tire rut or the other and kept going sideways. I don't want her to get frustrated to much in the learning stages!! If anyone would like to share any riding areas that are good for beginners, within a couple hours driving would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The Iron Horse Trail might be nice for a family ride. I recommend Staging at Smoky Lake and heading East. It's pretty scenic between Smoky and Speden. Also, there is a small, sandy rec area on the South side of the trail near Bellis which is about 1 15-20km ride from Smoky.
