Well i am thinking about purchasing a new sled this year or next year. i am 5 10 and weigh 180. i have been thinking about switching over to the cats. but what are the advantages and disadvantages between the xp or rev and the m?? what are the best years? i was thinking bout buying brand new or a one year old or something with low miles any advise there?? i am pretty set on a 151 or 153. is a 162 that much harder to steer? and i am also wondering to sell my old 2000 summit or just keep it. any help please

The m's are nice cause of the EFI, and have good reliable motors. XPs are nice sleds but ride way different then your, and if you buy one make sure the clutches have been looked after. I never road much on revs but XPs ride nicer then the M's.

I ride an xp 800. Was a 154 and changed to a 163. Havent noticed much if any differance in steering and handling between them. I ride with a few m series sleds and much prefer my xp over them but its all preferance. My friends with cats ride mine and love the way it climbs but prefer theirs on the trail. Ride them both then you know what your going to want.

What's your budget? This will help narrow down what you want.

I haven't rode any cats yet, but I have been riding an 09 doo, if you like to climb & be on the edge, well this is the perfect sled, as for sidehilling it takes a certain finesse which many may find hard to achieve. I just got a '12 but have yet to ride it, will know in a few weeks as I plan on getting lots of miles on both sleds for a comparison/awesome ride. If you know how to ride a specific sled I think that track length is minimal in terms of a hinderance if no more positive if you know how to use it with longer tracks.
