I recently picked up a 1973 polaris tx340 and it runs strong but doesn't like to idle when hot and top end is rough, I think it just need some tinkering- maybe. Carb adjustment, jetting etc

I would like to find somewhere in the calgary or red deer area to take it to get it tuned in that is good with the old iron, any suggestions?

If you are lucky, its just an easy adjustment, but being that its from the 70's, I would bet you have a crankseal problem. when they get warm, they get soft and leak. Not that tough to fix, but more work than tweaking some carbs.

I know I could probably do it myself but the realization has set in that if it comes down to working on this one or riding another this one will sit in the corner forever. (in the unheated poorly lit shop that doesnt help its case)

Besides, I am not exactly a fan of tweaking and tinkering, for some reason i just hate it.

This is why I m looking for a place to take it.

Anyone???
