So I need a pump.....for the Westlock motocross track...

We need a PTO driven positive displacment water pump...

I found a used 2" on Kijiji it might be a bit small but they are only asking $100.00 .....

So two questions....

1) if you have a bigger then 2" pump you want to sell cheap.....

2) Anyone in Calgary coming this direction part way, all the way or maybe your going to be passing through...Calgary and through Edmonton....

How much water are you pumping? there will be pumping limitations for suction and discharge depending on the head volumes and distance. a 2" does not move a lot of water.

Is a syphon a possible scenario? I move a lot of water off oil leases every year with one, if you have enough elevation change they are the ticket.

The pump will be at ground level, right beside two 100 barrel tanks. The tanks are only leivated about two feet so the discharge / input into the pump is almost level.

It will feed an under ground water system with 15 stantions but were only looking at ever having three or four 1 1/2 " hoses on at one time.

The manufacture indicated the pump to be 72 gpm @ 640 rpm and 175 psi working pressure. They did say that the relief value will start to bleed off at around 115 psi.... so hoping it will work.

pump curves are not always 100% LOL

4 1.5" hoses might be a little much, even 3 might be pushing it. If the bleed off was removed and you could push 150 PSI, that's only 50 PSI (in theory assuming all 3 hose outlets are same distance from the source) per hose, standard household water pressure is around 50-80 PSI. The farther you go from the pump, the more pressure drop you will have, assuming no leaks in any of the other 12 stantions also.
