Hey guys,

I have a 1997 mountain max 700 triple, i just replaced all the sliders and fixed a broken rail. what should be the proper track tension, I adjusted it so that I have about 1" drop off the rails when the ass end is off the ground. Does this sound good, or too loose, or too tight? also both sides of my adjusters are equal lengths on the sliders....:d:d:d:d

ya about an inch or inch n a half is about right, some guys will say ....lbs at the center of the track - tough to do if your alone...

good idea to check the rail end caps and screws when ur doing all the work to make sure there good... antistab kit always worth looking into cheaper than a new track, and gives u less rolling resistance which is a good thing too...

love the yammy 700 its an awesome sled, if you have any questions feel free to pm me ive had 3 of them and they were bullet proof

Adjust the adjusters so that your rails run centered on the steel track clips. Lift the sled, spin the track, let it stop without useing the brake. If things are centered your good, if not adjust one side or the other to get things true. If the track is more to the left side, tighten the left side adjuster 1/2 turn at a time, spin the track and check alignment. Also like ttpowersports said, about 1 to 1.5 inch sag is good.
